About Crusaders

Welcome to Crusader Composite Squadron, 076 in Grand Prairie Texas.  Civil Air Patrol is a nonprofit organization with about 61,000 volunteer members nationwide and is the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. CAP performs 90 percent of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and is credited  with saving about 55 lives per year.  CAP members are unpaid, concerned citizens doing good works through local community activities.  We also perform homeland security, disaster relief and counter-drug missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies. Members play a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to more than 26,000 young people currently participating in CAP cadet programs. CAP has been performing missions for America for over 72 years.  Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters is located at Maxwell AFB, AL in Montgomery, AL.
